Harold Gay

Harold Clayton Gay, 56, of Moultrie, died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Graveside rites, with military honors, will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Midway Cemetery with Mr. Ronnie Morrell officiating. Born Dec. 28, 1955, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Willie Clayton Gay and Sylvesta Lemacks Gay. He served in the U.S. Navy and was formerly associated with Holman Supply Company. He was of the Baptist faith. “He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and was an avid NASCAR fan,” his family remembered of him. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Diann Garrison Gay of Moultrie; three sons, Jeffery Gay and wife Casey of Moultrie, Matt Bush and wife Christine of Adel and Shane Bush and wife Elizabeth of Moultrie; one daughter, Christina Gay of Moultrie; two sisters, Carolyn Morrell and husband Ronnie of Pelham and Joann Knight and husband Jimmy of Moultrie; and six grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the residence, 490 Paul Murphy Road, Moultrie. Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
