MOULTRIE — Charles Edward “Chuck” Flowers, 59, of Moultrie, died Sunday, May 24, 2015, at his home. Graveside rites will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at Doerun Cemetery with Dr. David Benton and Mr. Kevin Nelson officiating. Born May 30, 1955, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Edward Swift Flowers and Carolyn Edge Flowers. He graduated from Moultrie High School in 1973, he was a self-employed entrepreneur and was a member of Grace Baptist Church. He loved the outdoors, was an avid hunter and fisherman, enjoyed collecting arrowheads and he loved the Colquitt County Packers. His family remembers how he had a big heart and an outgoing personality and loved animals. He was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Flowers McGuirt. Survivors include his son, Cliff Flowers and fiancé Linley Singletary of Leesburg; two daughters, Lane Flowers Smith and husband Monty of Poulan, Ga., and Lennie Flowers of Charleston, S.C.; four grandchildren, Jack Coker, Makalah Smith, Keaton Smith and Banks Flowers; one sister, Nancy Grantham and husband Doyle of Doerun; one brother, Joe Flowers and wife Kim of Big Timber, Mont.; and one brother-in-law, Patrick McGuirt of Doerun. The family will greet friends after the service on Saturday at Doerun Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
