James Spence

James E. Spence, II, 67, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, in the chapel of Baker Funeral Home, with Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at a later time.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Born on October 9, 1955, in Columbus, Georgia, he was the son of the late James E. Spence and Mary Alice Pope Spence. He retired after 33 years of service from Aramark as a fleet manager and was a member of Autreyville Baptist Church. Mr. Spence was a God-fearing man who loved his family. He was an avid Florida State Seminoles fan, along with NASCAR.
Mr. Spence is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Liz” Nevels Spence of Moultrie; children, Nana Spence Martinez and husband J.R., Tommy Spence, John Spence and wife Stephanie, Caleb Spence and wife Jessica, and Michael Spence and wife Megan, all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Gabe Fillyaw, Alli Spence, Trae Spence, Rachel Miller, Finley Spence, Eli Spence, Lila Spence, Cade Spence, Kayla Jewel and husband Brady, and Zane Spence; brother, David Spence and husband James of Moultrie; sister, Suzanne Spence Mashburn and husband Keith, also of Moultrie; and nephews, Jonathan Mashburn and Josh Mashburn.
