Roger Hilton

Roger Dean Hilton, 59, of Moultrie, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 30, at Hopewell Baptist Church, with the Rev. Murray Barfield officiating. Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Keith Freeman, Scotty Cannon, Joseph Cannon, David Hickey, David Norris and Don Connell. Born March 19, 1955, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Robert Marvin Hilton and Mary Kate Lindsey Hilton. He was a certified pipe welder with BSI Frucon and helped build the Boomerang at Wild Adventures. ‘He was a loving husband, father, hardworking man and a great provider’, his family remembered. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Tim Hilton, Buddy Hilton and Bill Hilton. Survivors include his wife, Alesia “Lisa” McAlpin Hilton of Moultrie; two sons Matthew Chadwick Hilton and Aaben Rob Hilton, both of Moultrie; three brothers, Mike Hilton, David Hilton and Randy and wife Faye Hilton, all from Funston; three sisters, Winona Hilton of Moultrie, Rita Haymons and husband George of Thomasville and Elaine Hilton of Doerun; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Albert and Carolyn McAlpin of Moultrie; brother-in-law and sister-in-law,  Murray and Jan Barfield of Moultrie; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Wednesday at Hopewell Baptist Church. The family request memorials please be made to the Roger Hilton Fund, P.O.
