My memory startles me sometimes when I get it totally wrong, but I believe that Van was one of the four guys that were in a car accident, and I believe three died, and one survived. I think it was the car wreck that Steve Paulaski, Van and two more were in. Was it Jeff Whiddon that survived? This is where it gets cloudy.
I lived on Tallokas Rd 3 miles from town. I remember that the car veared off the road and hit a tree. It occurred just about a quarter of a mile from our house, so it was betweem Moultrie and Tallahassee, but it was qute close to Moultrie.

If I remember correctly, Vaughn was killed in a car accident around the time or right around when we graduated! Please correct me if I am wrong!

That info from the find a grave is what I remember, he died somewhere between Tallahassee and Moultrie. So sad, his life had not even begun!
