Hello Class of “73”
A group of 60+ year olds have been meeting in Moultrie and planning our high school reunion. We think we have planned a good time and hope all can attend.
MARK AND SAVE these dates on your calendar: Friday Oct. 26th and Saturday the 27th.
The schedule of events looks like this:
FRIDAY Night: Barbeque and Football Game
We will tailgate at 5:30 p.m. on the grounds of the old Youth Center (the Youth Center burned down several years ago along with a lot of our memories). Our resident master griller and barbeque specialist, Mike White, will share his talents and prepare a feast. Barbeque chicken, boston butt, and ribs along with sides. At game time, we will walk to Mack Tharpe Stadium and Tom White Field. Lowndes is our opponent and we hope to kick their “you know whats.” We know all aren’t football fans, so those who don’t want to attend the game can remain at the tailgate if they like and visit. For those who want to go to the game, we are working on a special section so we can all sit together. After the game we can meet back at the old youth center site. Please remember to bring your lawn chairs.
SATURDAY MORNING: A golf outing is planned at Sunset Country Club, 9:00 till 1:00. Depending on participation we’ll have a fun tournament or just a group of foursomes. You don’t have to be good, you just have to enjoy hitting a little round ball. Not sure who won last time, but Sweet Lamar will probably take credit for the win.
SATURDAY AFTERNOON: Sunset Country Club will have the lounge open for all those who want to visit.
SATURDAY EVENING: 7:00 Until- We’ll meet at Sunset Country Club and have a great meal. Bring your appetite and your dancing shoes. We’re having a great band for our entertainment!
